Debashis Bagchi, President & CEO, brings 30 years of startup experience in wireless, telecommunications, semiconductor, software and gaming industries as a businessman, entrepreneur, strategist and inventor. Prior to AirWire, Mr. Bagchi served as the Chairman of the Board of ShareGate – a residential gateway equipment provider. As CEO, he led ShareGate where he raised $30M from Silicon Valley venture capitalists thereby establishing important strategic relationships with service providers and telecom equipment manufacturers. At ShareGate, he was instrumental in growing a team from its initial headcount of 4 to a headcount of over 100 and recruited the appropriate executive management, administrative, and engineering teams. During that time, he co-authored two patents both of which have been granted and issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Jon Bengtson – CFO, is a co-founder and director of AirWire since its inception and was appointed Chairman of the Board in July 2007. Mr. Bengtson began his career at Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc., where he was employed in various management positions for nine years, including Vice President of Management Information Systems. He also worked in numerous financial and marketing roles for companies such as International Game Technology, The Sands Regent Hotel Casino and Radica Games Limited. Moreover, Mr. Bengtson was a founder and Chief Financial Officer of ShareGate, Inc., a venture funded telecommunications equipment company. He holds a B.S. in business administration and an MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Gerardo Gonzalez – VP Worldwide Sales, brings over 20 years of experience in technical sales and sales management. He also brings experience in marketing, networking and telecom integrated circuit solutions to industry leading companies. At AMD, he managed sales in Mexico. Increasing 1999 processor market share by 19 percent, compared to a 15 percent worldwide benchmark against Intel. At Globespan/Virata, Mr. Gonzalez successfully established partnerships with leading CPE manufacturers via a protocol stack solution leading to a sales run rate of $16 million per year. Mr. Gonzalez holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Spanish Literature from Stanford University.
